For the price we paid, the 37LD450 is phenomenal. After going to the local store to look for a dining room TV I found that this one stood above the rest. I own a Samsung LN46650. I think it was their top of the line TV,and now, I am glad I don’t have to pick a TV from their below par range. The LG 37LD450 is comparable to a TV that is 3 times it’s price.

It is important to make an educated purchase. You have to look for all of the qualities of a TV before you make a purchase. Don’t buy the most expensive TV of the same size. It is a myth that more expensive is better. When choosing a TV take a look at the fast motion. Is is choppy. Can you see pixelation in the background. Are there inconsistencies in the back-lighting? Are the blacks deep and the picture vibrant? Is the picture grainy? Is the texture too smooth? Don’t get too caught up in the technical aspects of the TV because they will just make you think one TV is better. Let you eyes decide which TV is best.

After comparing TV’s of similar size, and taking the price into account, the LG 37LD450 wins by a mile. The 37 inch Samsung is just as good but for an extra $200 it’s not a hard decision which to get.
